Booth Information

Booth Space

All booth spaces are sized to accommodate display tents measuring 10 ft. wide by 10 ft. deep. No electricity is provided/available. Display arrangements must meet with approval of the committee. The committee is looking for balance in terms of variety of product and the way in which it is displayed. All work must carry a selling price. Artists must exhibit work on both Fair days from 11 am to 6 pm. on Saturday and 10 am to 5 pm. on Sunday.

Sales and Taxes

Artists retain all revenue from the sale of their work. No commission on sales is due to the 57th Street Art Fair. Artists are responsible for collecting and reporting the State of Illinois and City of Chicago combined sales tax (10.25%) on any sales. For more information, please visit the Illinois Department of Revenue web site at: http://tax.illinois.gov/individuals/salesandrelated/fairs.htm.

All artists making sales in Illinois are required to report and pay all tax due based on their total receipts within ten (10) days of the close of the fair.

Unloading, Parking & Set-up Instructions:

Most artists set up Saturday morning from 6 am onward. Your booth must be set up by 10:00 am. You may utilize only the booth space assigned to you. If using outside tent vendor, please note that no concrete weights are allowed as they infringe on other booth spaces. Please double check booth numbers. Please unload and move your vehicle as quickly as possible. Move your car to street parking once unloaded and return to your spot to set up your tent. Do not unload until you have a spot at the curb. No double parking is permitted.   Street parking is available on the 58th and 59th Streets, the Midway Plaisance, and Woodlawn Avenue.  Artists may leave displays overnight, Saturday, at their own risk. Security will be provided, but any damage or loss will be the responsibility of the artists and not the Art Fair Committee.
